Dr. Zachary Zimmerman is the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellow at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He grew up in Orlando, Florida. He then attended Davidson College near Charlotte, North Carolina where he earned his BA in Classics and also attained a Biochemistry Minor. He earned his MD at the Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida. After this, he completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia where he was privileged to work with multiple facial plastic surgeons specializing in both cosmetic and reconstructive facets of surgery. As part of his research experience, he has lectured at many national conferences on a myriad of otolaryngology topics including otalgia-associated migraines, limiting pediatric ICU admissions following adenotonsillectomy, and midface implantation during rhytidectomy surgery for volume replacement and a youthful cosmetic result. He looks forward to augmenting his training with an additional year devoted solely to cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck and promoting both a youthful and natural appearance for his patients.
